Wow, I haven't updated in ages! As you can probably tell, I've been teaching myself to draw. Slowly... So far its been 18 days, so I'm learning quickly. I seemed to already know the basic structures and whatnot, but I'm still fairly unable to draw without a photo reference, which I'm not satisfied with. Started a sitting portrait of Aquaman the other day, then I put it aside when I realised I didn't really have much interest in the character... I should finish that soon, just not urgent.

Apparently I've been 'specifically' selected [yeah right] to have a 10 day test of a much cooler account. So far, it looks fairly spiffy :P

Ladonite, First of all let me tell you that your art deco train was absolutely stunning. I am working with a local Technical College to help them promote their STEM event taking place at the end of May. STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. I was wondering if I could use your train with the line "Full STEM Ahead" in art deco font to help promote this event? I have found other public domain trains but none of them had the WOW factor of yours. Simply Amazing. Thank you so much for your time.
utopia in manipulation is worth a BIG WOWWW ...
Truly great work and I can tell by myself that it needed surly a ton of time to do it ...

Hey you´ve done a perfect composition on that one mate ... dramatic as a scene in aphrodites garden that fell into the future .. well organized theme and light, depth, clearity ... realy the hammer ... I would be proud of myself If I had done such a cool piece ... and you inspired me to do so thanks ... and enjoy your work and further accomplishments ..

Thank you :)

It ended up taking me a few weeks to do it, but a lot of that was looking for just the right image to fill out the piece. I had a rough sketch I was working with, but sometimes I would find something that worked so much better, and that led it to transform and improve through the randomness of what I might find. I kept re-sketching to match what I found, so I still had a plan to work to. I really like the final result
Hey, loved your Art Deco stuff. I'm the community advisor (its like an RA) at a college and we're looking to paint our floor on the inside and we're looking for a sort of art deco archway we can stencil around the doors--would you be interested in designing it? We could take pictures and send them back to you. Let me know. E-mail me at rtalley@iastate.edu.
Thanks for the watch :D
Thanks very much for the :+devwatch:!
